Book Keeping Systems:

Once you have a business plan you need to set up your financial book keeping system. Unless you are an accountant, I recommend that you meet with one before you start with any business venture. Even if you intend to maintain your own book keeping, you will still need the advice of an accountant. They can give you the financial and tax guidance specific to your business and personal needs.

Not everything has to be done on the computer; but, the accountant will usually recommend a computer based book keeping system. You can choose your own as long as it is set up for your needs and the accountants’. That's where I step in. I help you to organize your assets and liabilities, then properly categorize them. Depending on your needs and your computer use... I set up either your "tried and true" pencil and paper system, or, computer program. This way, all you have to do is enter the information as you go.
